I wanted to make a Star Wars Fanfilm in Unreal Engine. The important things I hope to achieve with this project are to 1. Create an animated short film as a solo artist, 2. Streamline a workflow in Unreal Engine to create high-quality animations without having to use a render farm or wait for weeks on renders, 3. Learn the most efficient way to navigate the whole pipeline of an animation (Concept, story, modeling, animation, environment, rendering, etc.) so it can be done quickly with hopefully only one artist.
So far I have a few characters in the works, and have tested a couple of motion capture processes (all using Perception Neuron, because that's what I have)
This is a test of the pipeline from beginning to end. There are quite a few refinements I plan on making before I actually go forward with the film, but this is a pretty good start.
